How the marketplaces work

Upload a file to one of the big instant-quote marketplaces and it doesn't get cut in their building — they don't have one. Your job gets farmed out to whichever shop in their network picks it up. You don't choose the shop, you usually can't see it, and quality depends on who was free that week.

How FUDA RAPID works

We own the machines. We employ the machinists. When you upload a file here, it gets cut on the floor in the photos on this page — not handed off to someone else's shop. If something needs a second look, it's our engineer looking at it, on our floor.

Fudakin has manufactured precision parts in Shenzhen since 1996, and added a second facility in Thailand in 2024. For most of that time it was contract work for other companies' products — the kind that never carried our name, only theirs.

And in all that time, we watched the same thing happen: a company with volume gets our best engineers, our real price, and our full attention. A person with one part and no purchase order gets quoted high somewhere else, waits weeks for an answer, or gets routed to a shop they've never heard of and can't check on.

We started FUDA RAPID because that's backwards. The person building their first part deserves a factory's real price, a competent engineer, and a machine they can point to — more than anyone. Upload a design file — you'll have an answer in about a minute.
